Cyber Attack Prevention Endorsed by ACFEI
iPredator Inc.’s cybercrime & cyber attack prevention initiatives have been endorsed by the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI). As the world’s largest professional forensic sciences education organization, founder Dr. Robert O’Block, and ACFEI are committed to helping make the internet a safer environment for children and all online users.
The American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI) and founder Dr. Robert O’Block are formally announcing their support for iPredator Inc.’s cyberbullying and cyber attack prevention initiatives. Most distressing to Dr. O’Block and his colleagues is that online sexual predation, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and pathological cyber deception are all Information Age social issues causing harm to millions of children and adult online users worldwide.
Michael Nuccitelli Psy.D., C.F.C., a New York State licensed psychologist, certified forensic consultant and ACFEI member is the author of the Information Age forensics construct, iPredator. Of the typologies the iPredator construct includes, online sexual predation is the one most disconcerting to ACFEI, Dr. O’Block and his associates. Although Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is young in age, online sexual predators have turned to cyberspace for locating and targeting pediatric victims.
Cyberbullying & Cyber Attack Prevention Education
As stated by Dr. O’Block, “It is easy to recognize the many benefits information technology provides, but the victimization and pain caused to children continues with no known end in sight. It is for this reason we support Dr. Nuccitelli, iPredator, and his steps to educate the community on the dangers children face in cyberspace.”
iPredator Inc.’s website is filled with internet safety, cyberbullying and cyber attack prevention information, at no cost, and always available to read or download for site visitors. Interested parties who visit their website are directed to scroll to the base of any webpage and click on the green pdf/print button. In addition to ease of access, no personal information, solicitations or visitor email addresses are required to download. For those not familiar with the iPredator, Dark Psychology and Malignant Sociopathy constructs, Dr. Nuccitelli’s formal definitions are as follows:
iPredator: A person, group or nation who, directly or indirectly, engages in exploitation, victimization, coercion, stalking, theft or disparagement of others using Information and Communications Technology (ICT). iPredators are driven by deviant fantasies, desires for power and control, retribution, religious fanaticism, political reprisal, psychiatric illness, perceptual distortions, peer acceptance or personal and financial gain. iPredators can be any age or gender and are not bound by economic status, race, religion or national heritage.
iPredator is a global term used to distinguish anyone who engages in criminal, coercive, deviant or abusive behaviors using ICT. Central to the construct is the premise that Information Age criminals, deviants and the violently disturbed are psychopathological classifications new to humanity. Whether the offender is a cyberbully, cyberstalker, cyber harasser, cyber criminal, online sexual predator, cyber terrorist or engaged in internet defamation or nefarious cyber deception, they fall within the scope of iPredator. The three criteria used to define an iPredator include:
I. A self-awareness of causing harm to others, directly or indirectly, using ICT. II. The usage of ICT to obtain, tamper with, exchange and deliver harmful information. III. A general understanding of Cyberstealth used to engage in criminal or deviant activities or to profile, identify, locate, stalk and engage a target.
Unlike human predators prior to the Information Age, iPredators rely on the multitude of benefits offered by Information and Communications Technology (ICT). These assistances include exchange of information over long distances, rapidity of information exchanged and the seemingly infinite access to data available. Malevolent in intent, iPredators rely on their capacity to deceive others using ICT in the abstract and artificial electronic universe known as cyberspace. Therefore, as the internet naturally offers all ICT users anonymity, if they decide, iPredators actively design online profiles and diversionary tactics to remain undetected and untraceable.
Cyberbullying & Predator Prevention
Cyberstealth, a sub-tenet of iPredator, is a covert method by which iPredators attempt to establish and sustain complete anonymity while they engage in ICT activities planning their next assault, investigating innovative surveillance technologies or researching the social profiles of their next target. Concurrent with the concept of Cyberstealth is iPredator Victim Intuition (IVI). An iPredator’s IVI is their aptitude to sense a target’s ODDOR (Offline Distress Dictates Online Response), online & offline vulnerabilities, psychological weaknesses, technological limitations, increasing their success of a cyber-attack with minimal ramifications.
“ICT and cyberspace are not tools used by the sociopath, deviant, narcissist or classic criminal, but part of a new generation that will be permanent fixtures to humanity for centuries to follow.” Michael Nuccitelli Psy.D., C.F.C. (2013)
Dark Psychology: Dark Psychology is the study of the human condition as it relates to the psychological nature of people to prey upon other people motivated by criminal and/or deviant drives that seemingly lack purpose and general assumptions of instinctual drives or social sciences theory. All of humanity has this potential to victimize other humans and living creatures. While many restrain or sublimate this tendency, some act upon these impulses.
Dark Psychology seeks to understand those thoughts, feelings, perceptions and subjective processing systems that lead to predatory behavior that is antithetical to contemporary understandings of human behavior. Dark Psychology assumes that criminal, deviant and abusive behaviors are purposive and have some rational, goal- oriented motivation 99% of the time. It is the remaining 1%, Dark Psychology parts from Adlerian theory and the Teleological Approach. Dark Psychology postulates there is a region within the human psyche that enables some people to commit atrocious acts without purpose. In this theory, it is called the Dark Singularity.
Dark Psychology posits that all humanity has a reservoir of malevolent intent towards others ranging from minimally obtrusive and fleeting thoughts to pure psychopathic deviant behaviors without any cohesive rationality. This is called the Dark Continuum. Mitigating factors acting as accelerants and/or attractants to approaching the Dark Singularity, and where a person’s heinous actions fall on the Dark Continuum, is what Dark Psychology calls Dark Factor.
Criminal, Deviant & Cyber Criminal Construct
Dark Psychology encompasses all that makes us who we are in relationship to our dark side. All cultures, all faiths and all humanity have this proverbial cancer. From the moment we are born to the time of death, there is a side lurking within us all that some have called evil and others have defined as criminal, deviant, and pathological. Dark Psychology introduces a third philosophical construct that views these behaviors different from religious dogmas and contemporary social sciences theories.
Dark Psychology posits that this predator style is purposive and has some rational, goal-oriented motivation. Religion, philosophy, psychology, and other dogmas have attempted cogently to define Dark Psychology. It is true most human behavior, related to evil actions, is purposive and goal oriented, but Dark Psychology assumes there is an area where purposive behavior and goal oriented motivation seems to become nebulous. There is a continuum of Dark Psychology victimization ranging from thoughts to pure psychopathic deviance without any apparent rationality or purpose. This continuum, Dark Continuum, helps to conceptualize the philosophy of Dark Psychology.
Dark Psychology addresses that part of the human psyche or universal human condition that allows for and may even impel predatory behavior. Some characteristics of this behavioral tendency are, in many cases, its lack of obvious rational motivation, its universality and its lack of predictability.
Malignant Sociopathy: A sub-tenet of Dark Psychology, Malignant Sociopathy is defined as a rare and extreme form of the classic definition of the Sociopath. A Malignant Sociopath is a male or female who exhibits the extreme form of Sociopathy, does not suffer from an acute psychiatric mental illness, is predominantly driven by the need for absolute power and control and views the enslavement of their victim(s) as a priori as opposed to taking their life, engaging in sexual and/or violent victimization, stealing their valuables or causing them psychological distress.
The current accepted definition of a Sociopath is a personality disordered person that exhibits patterned behavior similar Antisocial Personality Disorder, often criminal or deviant, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. The Sociopath also exhibits amoral behavior, fails to learn from his/her experiences, lacks the ability to establish meaningful personal relationships, extremely egocentric and narcissistic and frequently engages in fantasizing about wanting to victimize, torture and enslave a targeted victim(s). The Malignant Sociopath is the severe form of the sociopathy, extremely rare and is fixated upon absolute domination, control and enslavement of their victim(s).
Dark Psychology Defines iPredator Profiles
Note to Reader: For purposes of fully understanding the Dark Psychology and sub-tenet of Malignant Sociopathy, Dr. Nuccitelli views the profiles of the Psychopath and Sociopath as synonymous with slight variation in modus operandi and subjective processing systems. Under his interpretation, the Psychopath tends to be more isolative, a loner and less likely to intrinsically value social relationships.
The Psychopath can either be isolative, a loner and less likely to intrinsically value social relationships or behave in the opposite manner, but still have these internal perceptions. The other variation different from the Sociopath is that the Psychopath experiences a delusional, dissociative or severely disturbed worldview that fuels his/her victimization pursuits.
“It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring.“ Alfred Adler (1870-1930)
